BREWING TEMPEST
When spring comes to Texas, cold air from the Rockies
blows across the plains and collides
with the warm air of the Texas Panhandle.
Massive storm clouds, that reach up to 60,000 feet, form in the afternoon hours.
These storms carry torrential rain, large hail and multiple tornadoes.
This is almost a daily occurrence in the region.
The painting depicts a cloud in the early stages of becoming one
of these storms over Palo Duro Canyon.
